The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has today confirmed that Monarch airlines have ceased trading and all future flights and holidays have been cancelled. Support has been set up for customers affected:
Customers in the UK yet to travel – The CCA has said not to go to the airport as there will be no more Monarch flights.
Customers already overseas – Return flights will be booked with other carriers at no additional cost. There is no need to cut short a stay.
The CCA has set up a new website – monarch.caa.co.uk for confirmation of new flight details which will be available around 48 hours before departure. Flights back to the UK will be free of any costs. If you’ve made flight-only bookings after 16 October you may need to make alternative arrangements as these may not be covered by the Atol scheme.
All affected customers – monarch.caa.co.uk will be updated with the latest information so it’s best to check regularly.
